It is the first purpose-built building for the Hong Kong legislature. The construction of the LegCo Complex commenced in 2008 and was completed in 2011. ==Overview== The LegCo Complex is located alongside the Central Government Complex completed in 2011 on the reclaimed Tamar site, facing the Victoria Harbour. Before the completion of the LegCo Complex, the Former Supreme Court Building was the home of the Legislative Council. The LegCo Complex is composed of the Council Block and the Office Block. Adjoining the Complex are the LegCo Garden and the LegCo Square.
